Hatley- William Frederick, 81, died on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at his home. Born January 13, 1933 in Monroe County, he was a son of Andrew and Lula Bell Lindsey Frederick. He was a 1953 graduate of Hatley High School and was married to Geraldine Majors. Before his retirement, he was a farmer and he had worked for Hatley Sportswear and Amory Garment Co. He enjoyed fishing and camping and he was a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Ministers Marshall Eubanks, Jr. and David Highland officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, William Gerry Frederick (Nettie) of Pontotoc; one daughter, Sheila Hall of Hatley; 6 sisters, Verdean Sharp, Mattie Jean Upton, Jewel Levy (Joel), Judy Cox, Oclay Sloan, and Linda Hughes; granddaughter, Emily Hall of Hatley; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jim and Brenda McCreary, Steve Culpepper, and Tommie Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; 6 sisters, Ophelia, Laluar, Ersell, Marie, Alice, and Grace; and 5 brothers, Braxton, George, Leo, Arnie, and Archie.
Pallbearers will be the elders of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday evening and will continue until service time on Tuesday.
