Wayne West

Ledarryl Wayne West, 60, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at his son’s home near Hamilton, AL. Wayne was born on August 20, 1961 in Midland, TX to William and Patricia Hill West.  He grew up in Amory and he was an accomplished brick mason working in the family business most all of his life.  Before he retired, he worked in the Amory school district for 3 years.  He was a member of Bigbee Baptist Church and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Jason Browning and Bro. Kenny Davidson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Haughton Memorial Park.  

He is survived by his wife, DiaAnn McCuan West of Brownsville, TN; two sons, Jason West (Amanda) of Hamilton, AL and Patrick Allen (Christina) of Southaven; two daughters, Tasha Browning (Jason) of Amory and Talisha Rose Thompson (James) of Wren; half-brother, Joe West of Amory; sister, Donna Chaney of Amory; and 11 grandchildren, Emery, Ella, and Jaylee Browning; Kristiauna West, Kayleigh West, John Alex West, Abby Mae Allen, Annaleigh Allen, James Patrick Allen, Jr., Emma Thompson, and Madison Thompson.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, April West; grandson, Jacob West; and brother, Johnny West.

Pallbearers will be Mack Ramsey, Joe West, Austin James, and Fermin Haro.

Visitation will be from noon until service time on Thursday.
