Robert Anthony “Tony” Young, 31, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at his home in Tupelo. Born August 9, 1987, Tony was born to Robert Burdine and Tracy Tartt Young. He attended Smithville High School where he was a member of the Smithville Seminole Football Team. Tony was an exceptional worker and loved his job in customer service at Bancorpsouth. In his free time, he enjoyed playing volleyball, the guitar, and he was an avid Denver Broncos and MSU Bulldog fan. In addition, as an outdoorsman, Tony loved to spend time hunting and fishing and also spent many hours detailing his truck which was his pride and joy. Above all, his time spent with his family was cherished especially his wife, Samantha and daughter, Emma.
Funeral services for Tony will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Kevin Crook officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Samantha Angeloff Young of Wheeler, MS; daughter, Emma Angeloff; father, Robby Young (Mary) of Smithville; one brother, Tanner Young of Smithville; two sisters, Lacey Sims (Michael) of Amory and Lindsey Young of Smithville; grandparents, Charlie and Marie Tartt of Amory, Brenda Tartt of Nettleton; great grandmother, Jean Tartt; a host of aunts and uncles; cousins, Chris Tartt, Tyler Scott, Heath and Kyle Noe; nieces and nephews, Lilly and Jackson Jones and Ryder Harrington.
He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, Bobby J. “Chubby” and Ina Rae Young; uncle, Chuck Tartt; and great grandfather, Clarence Tartt.
Pallbearers will be Chris Tartt, Tyler Scott, Dustin Parker, Jake Sloan, and Heath and Kyle Noe.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
