Tony Plunkett, Sr.

Tony Lee Plunkett, Sr., 65, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at his home.  He was born on August 15, 1957 in Alabama to Herman and Nellie Jean Randolph Plunkett.  He grew up in Mississippi and for many years, he was a very talented and accomplished mechanic.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working with his hands.  He attended Blue Springs Baptist Church.  

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Bro. Roy McHenry officiating.  Burial will follow in the Plunkett Family Plot at Camp Cemetery.

He is survived by one son, Tony Plunkett; stepson, Justin House (Lauren); one daughter, Tammy Jean Plunkett; stepdaughters, Katrina Hill, Sarah House, and Brandy Sain; brothers, Donnie Plunkett, Ricky Plunkett, Mickey Plunkett, and Tom Plunkett; sisters, Nell Plunkett, Brenda Vaughan, and Linda; 13 grandchildren, Tonya, Savannah, Hunter, Conner, Anthony, Tyler, Jaida, ReRe, Isaiah, Jaden, Selena, Amber, and Laikyn; and 2 great grandchildren, Junior and Browen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janie; and brothers, Ronnie, Jerry, and Wayne Plunkett.

Pallbearers will be Justin House, Tony Plunkett, Jr., Greg Dyer, Ivan Ware, and Tyler Hill.

Visitation will be from noon until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
