Tony Owens

Tony Lynn Owens, 50, of Bartlett, TN passed away peacefully on May 29, 2019 at the Methodist Hospital in Germantown, TN. Tony was born on June 3, 1968 in Haiti, MO to Boyd and Artvie Owens. Growing up in Aberdeen, MS, he graduated from Aberdeen High School and eventually owned and operated several businesses, including Aberdeen Auto Sales. Later on, he moved to Bartlett and the business man he was, he owned and operated Crossroads Investigations. Generous and always seeing the best in others, Tony was the first one to lend a helping hand when he saw a need. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, watching Nascar, fishing and grilling, especially with his family. He was a devout Mississippi State University fan and loved watching the Dawgs play. A man of faith, Tony accepted a terminal diagnosis of cancer and lived life to the fullest up until the end of his life. Tony is survived by his wife, Stacy Lynn Owens; son Tanner Austin Owens; daughters, Ashley Blake Owens, Jordyn Lynn Gill (Silas); step daughter, Rachel Anderson; step son, Brandon Anderson; sisters, Geneva Dodds, Pat Jones, Shirley Owens and Betty Sue Mills; granddaughter, Adaleigh Gann and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Robert Fowlkes officiating. Burial will follow in Amory Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Griffis, Brandon Anderson, Brandon Jenkins, Jamie Mills, Silas Gill and Kyle Garner.
