Tommy Ray Dykes, 65, of the Cason Community passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at his home. Born on October 29, 1951, he was a son of Henderson and Clara Mae Rea Dykes. He married Sharon Blake on June 4, 1971 and Tommy was a member of the Cason Baptist Church. Prior to his retirement, he worked for JBS Construction. His hobbies included hunting.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the Liberty Cemetery with Bro. Ricky Jones officiating. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery on Tuesday for the service.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Dykes of the Cason Community; one son, Justin Dykes (Keri) of Nettleton; 3 brothers, Michael Dykes, David Dykes, and James Dykes all of Amory; 3 grandchildren, Jon Eric Dykes, Waylon Able Dykes, and Wyatt Jace Dykes; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Bridget Dykes; a grandson, Jesse Ray Dykes; and two sisters, Jackie McCommon and Zara Dykes.
Pallbearers will be Michael Dykes, David Dykes, James Dykes, Matthew Dykes, Michael “Bobo” Dykes, Levi Dykes, Dusty Dykes, and Donald Mills.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home.
