Timothy Eugene Nantz, 60, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at his home in the Parham Community. Tim was born on June 12, 1964, in Libertyville, IL to Eugene and Linda Bond Nantz. Growing up in Illinois and Tennessee, he later moved to Mississippi at age 19 where he began working in the furniture industry and later became a handy-man. He married the former Laura Chaney and loved his family. Content and at home in the outdoors, Tim liked to hunt, fish, and trap. He raised all kinds of animals and bought and sold chickens, many of which he raised himself. He was a member of New Hope Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Minister Trevor Smoot officiating. Burial will follow in the Hatley Cemetery.
In addition to his wife of 26 years, Laura Nantz, he is survived by his sons, Timothy Nantz, Jr., Greenwood Springs, Dalton Nantz (Rebecca), Amory, and Dayton Nanz, Amory; his daughter, Tiffany Thompson (Blake), Amory; his brother, Brian Sebesta, Chicago; sisters, Cindy Thompson, Dorsey, Sherry Sebesta, Dorsey, Debbie Sebesta, AZ, Alice Gillette, Chicago, Vicki Nantz, TN, Crystal Sebesta, TN; grandchildren, Conner Allen, Easton Thompson, Raelynn Nantz, and Gunner Nantz; a host of nieces and nephews; and friend who was more like a brother, Terell “Goose” Howell.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Nantz, Dayton Nantz, and Blake Thompson.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
