Thomas Fred Hill

Thomas Fred Hill, 61, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at North Mississippi Medical Center—Gilmore in Amory. He was born on May 7, 1960 in Lamar County, AL to Garvin and Mary Elizabeth Hill. He grew up in Steens and later married the former Mary Harris on May 15, 1995. For many years he was a self-employed logger and most recently a truck driver for Monroe County. He loved being with his family and enjoyed being outdoors whether hunting or fishing. He also liked to raise a garden.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Roy McHenry officiating. Burial will follow in the Easter Cemetery.

In addition to his wife, Mary Hill, he is survived by his stepsons, Huze Irvin Spruill of Aberdeen and John Milton Spruill of Wren; stepdaughters, Loretta Mistrot of Florida and Penny Jean Davis of Columbus; brother, James Albert Hill of Greenwood Springs; grandchildren, Christopher John Spruill and Brittany Kathryn Spruill; great grandchildren, Addison, Kyla, Sadie, Jocelyn, and Zickland; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Martha and Polly Faye Haney; and brother, Ernie Lee Hill.

Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
