Tammy Norris James

Tammy Rose Norris James, 51,passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at the NMMC- Tupelo.  She was born April 15, 1972 in Amory to Danny and Linda Pace Norris.  Tammy was a graduate of Lamar County High School, Class of 1990.  Before becoming disabled, she worked at Wal Mart, Family Dollar and in the nursing homes as a CNA, where she loved helping others.  She enjoyed her work, especially meeting and talking with people.  She had a huge smile, outgoing personality and positive attitude that would light up the room.  She enjoyed traveling and loved to read.  Tammy had a green thumb and tended to her many plants.  She attended Aberdeen First Pentecostal Church.

Tammy is survived by her parents, Danny and Linda Norris of Amory; daughters, Paxton Luce of TN and Lakelyn James of Amory; sister, Tabitha Marrison (Tyler), Amory; brothers, Randall Norris (April), TN and Daniel Norris (Chrissy) of Idaho; nieces and nephews, Micah Norris, Jacob Norris, Krystoffer Norris, Asher Norris, Jeremiah Norris, Thomas-Levi Norris, Alivia Norris, Skylar Marrison and Noah Marrison; special uncles, Mark Pace and Harvey Lee Norris.

Tammy is preceded in death by her grandparents, Clyde Grant and Virginia Rose Norris, Burley Ray and Margie Faye Pace.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 16 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Rev. Ricky Bowen officiating.  Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Bobby Camp, Brad Brasfield, Jason Gray, Andrew Guyton, Robert Weaver, Jed Terry and Cody Kennedy.

Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday from noon until 1:45 PM.
