Stephen Wayne Boggan, 61, died on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Stephen was born on June 15, 1954 in Aberdeen to Kenneth J. and Ruth Woods Boggan and he was married to Deborah Hicks. Growing up in Aberdeen, he attended and graduated Aberdeen High School. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Army for 4 years later moving to Texas owning and operating several businesses, then retiring back to Wren. Family was important to Stephen especially his daughter Raina. Having a deep faith, he was a member of Cornerstone Family Fellowship. He enjoyed rebuilding and riding motorcycles, riding with several organizations. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler and loved to pass the time away on his tractor riding on his property. With an analytical mind, he was very “hands-on” figuring out how to do anything.
A funeral service will be on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Cornerstone Family Fellowship with Bro. Greg Huguley officiating. Inspirational music will be given by Tony Hooper.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Boggan and daughter Raina Boggan both of Wren; one son, Robbyn Abedi (Suzanne) of Memphis; daughter, Nikki Long of Texas; two brothers, Walter T. Boggan (Tina) and James K. Boggan; two sisters, Connie Boggan Tedder (Bobby) and Lisa Boggan; two grandchildren, Charlotte Abedi and Ellie Long; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, David Boggan.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time on Sunday at the church.
