Sandy McLarty Gray, 42 passed away at the NMMC in Tupelo on February 28, 2020. She was born on August 17, 1977 in Shreveport to Commodore David Smith and Donna Kay Light. On May 27, 1994 She married Scotty Gray. A selfless and devoted woman, she was a caregiver to the elderly and sick throughout her career. Her proudest accomplishment was the love and support she showed her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Sandy enjoyed crocheting, painting, working puzzle books and singing. She was a member of Open Door Worship Center.
She is survived by her husband, Scotty Gray, Amory; father, Commodore David Smith of Teague, TX; children Daniel Gray, Jr. (Kelsey), Tyler, TX, Emily Gray, Fulton and Sandra Taylor Gray (Isaiah Elliot), Smithville; sister, Kay Elzy (Tom) of Sherman, TX; brothers, David and Carl Smith, Sherman, Tx; grandchildren, Jace Rielen Gray, Daniel Scott Gray, III and Shay’lei Elise Elliot; mother and father in love, James and Beverly Gray, brother and sister in laws, Jason and Lacey Gray, Rachel Gray and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Chelsea Danielle Gray.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Young and Pastor Shane Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aaron Morris, David Smith, Isaiah Gray, Eric Oliver, Daniel Scott Gray, Jr. and Isaiah Elliot.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon at the funeral home from 5-8 PM.
