Ruby Lanell Davis Beasley, 88, died on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Riverplace Nursing Center in Amory. Born February 2, 1928, she was a daughter of Earl and Carrie Bishop Westmoreland. She married Clarence Davis and later married Thomas Beasley. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a waitress at the Natchez Trace Inn and Shockleys and she was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Tupelo. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies included playing dominoes, cards, and fishing.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday October 23, 2016 at the Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. David Westmoreland and Bro. Shay Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Greenbrier Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Raymond Junior Davis (Diane) of Amory; one daughter, Jeannie Haynes (Raymond) of Amory; daughter-in-law, Jan Fairly of Tupelo; one brother, Raymond Westmoreland (Nell) of Aberdeen; one sister, Berlean Sullins of Okolona; 8 grandchildren, Melissa Smith, Michelle Johnson (Will), Stacey Swann (Jaylon), Lindsay Robbins (Joey), Joey Gross, Jennifer Waldon, and Leslie Gross, and Ben Bealsey; 9 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Danny Lee Davis; her husbands; and a sister, Lola Ann Medley.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Parker, Dwight Parker, Tom Medley, Austin Johnson, Joey Gross, Michael Westmoreland, Terry Westmoreland, Bo Camp, and Brandon Camp. Honorary pallbearer will be Randy Parker.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. on Saturday evening at the funeral home.
