Ronald Dale “Ronnie” Justice, 69, died on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Shearer-Richardson Nursing Home in Okolona. He was born on May 29, 1949 in Monroe County to Arlin and Floye Elizabeth Howell Justice. A lifelong resident of Monroe County, Ronnie was a 1967 graduate of Amory High School and later played and excelled at football at IJC and he enjoyed lifting weights. A pilot, Ronnie loved to fly and was known, by many, as a daredevil and he also was a construction worker working on the Tenn-Tom Waterway. He was married to Marilyn O’Connell and later Teresa Chism. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. One of his favorite past-times was to eat cheeseburgers and fries and drink a milk shake. He was a member of the New Hope Church of Christ and after he was diagnosed with dementia, he would often walk to church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Minister Philip Hathcock and Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Curry Justice (Crystal) of Hatley; two grandchildren, Tray Justice and Andrew Curry Justice, Jr.; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marilyn O’Connell; and brother, Richard Justice.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
