Robert Foster Frederick, 77, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born on April 4, 1940, he was a son to Samuel “Roof” and Lillie Foster Frederick. He married Dorothy Sue Grimes and he was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Frederick was a farmer and prior to his retirement, he worked for Walker Manufacturing and for the Town of Smithville Water Department. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and being on his tractor.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. R.D. Cline and Bro. Benny Loveless officiating. Burial will be in the Maxey Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Frederick of Smithville; 3 sons, Ray Benton (Donna) of Tupelo, Allen Benton (Kim) of Smithville, and Robin Frederick (Tammy) of Smithville; one daughter, Christy Robinson (Joel) of Fulton; two brothers, Clarence Frederick (Barb) of North Carolina and Norris Frederick of Winfield, AL; 15 grandchildren, Bruce Benton, Jenni Vaughn, Shannon Lucius, Christina Sawyer, Kaitlyn Brown, Elizabeth Emery, Tiffany Little, Alexis Nelson, Chasidy Fields, Benjamin Benton, Ethan Frederick, Brianna Johnson, Heather Hewett, Stephanie Robinson, and Cameron Robinson; and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Sam Frederick and Hoyle Frederick; and two sisters, Geneva Sanders and Irene Wood.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Benton, Ethan Frederick, Benjamin Benton, Cameron Robinson, Anthony Little, Tim Lucius, Chris Fields, and Nate Hewett. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Farrar, Mike Comer, Justin Comer, Ira Kennedy, and Billy Waddle.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home.
