Rita Friebel Belue

Rita Friebel Belue, 83, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the NMMC-Tupelo.  Rita was born in Luckwalden, Germany during the height of World War II to the late Warren and Rosa Dora Czollek Friebel.  Rita married Jimmy Belue, Sr., and American Soldier whom she met and fell in love with.  Their marriage began an adventure and life of service, sharing their time between the United States and Germany during Jimmy's time in the service.  After Jimmy retired in 1979, they moved to the United States permanently.  She was a devoted wife and mother and loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed crocheting baby blankets, watching westerns and anything with Clark Gable in it.  She was an exceptional cook and loved to cook her native, German food for her family.  She was of the baptist faith and cherished the fond memories of her and Jimmy's last trip to Germany to visit.

Rita is survived by her daughters, Karnelia Langer, Germany, Peggy Guyton (Randy), Aberdeen and Petra Garner (Tom), Missouri; sons, Jimmy C. Belue, Jr., Lackey, Jerry Belue (Melissa), Aberdeen and Jo Belue (Juanita), Becker; brother, Gerhart Friebel, Germany; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; her special friends, Lilly Jones and Dora House; her faithful dog, Shotzy.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jimmy Belue Sr., Rita is preceded in death bu one son, John Belue, granddaughters, Rita Mae Crump and Tonya Langer; son in law, Hanz Langer.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Chuck Moffett officiating.  Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery,  Pallbearers will be Jerry Belue, Joseph Belue, Luke Hall, Jacob Reeves, Joe Belue and Austin Belue.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Garner and Blake Garner.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 PM until 3 PM.
