Randall “Randy” Lee Gray, 43, died Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Greenwood, Mississippi. He was born January 23, 1973 in Amory to Sheree Chism Altom and Randall Gray. He attended Becker, Tupelo and Hatley Schools and was of the Baptist faith. A hard working man, Randy worked in area furniture manufacturing and recently moved to Greenwood, Mississippi to work in construction. A very loving person, he enjoyed being with his family, especially his step children and nieces and nephews. Always wanting to be in the outdoors, he enjoyed getting to go to the deer camp with his step dad, boating on Pickwick Lake and was passionate about raising dogs, especially Rottweilers and Pit Bulls. Gifted with his hands, Randy was an exceptional artist and weightlifter who always had his music playing loud.
He is survived by his mother and step father, Sheree and Steve Altom, Shannon; father and step mother, Randall and Debbie Gray; stepchildren, Amanda Ard (Jimmy), Pontotoc,, Brandon Bowland and Brittany Bowland; sister, Bridget Sanders (Justin), Smithville; grandparents, Ruby Gray, Amory and Betty Altom, Tupelo; grandchildren, Chloe Weyrauch, Averie Ard, Kegan Ard and Tylee Bowland; close friends, Scott Mitchell and Michael Hawley; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Jessica Altom Jones; grandparents, Frank and Myrtis Chism, Billie Gray and Harold Altom.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home with Dr. Lloyd Sweat officiating. Burial will follow in Tupelo Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Scott Mitchell, Justin Sanders, Chas Sanders, Chris Gray, Ritchie Camp and Cory Kinsey.
Visitation will be Monday evening at the funeral home from 5-8 PM.
