Polly Brown Conwill, 77, died on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at her daughter’s home in the Carolina Community. Born October 10, 1939 in Monroe County, she was a daughter of Otha and Elizabeth Wren Brown. She grew up in the Carolina Community and attended Carolina School. She was married to Johnny Conwill in 1955. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Amory Garment Co. and later for McDonald’s. With a heart full of love and care she attended to her parents; her mother-in-law; and her husband until their death. Unselfishly, she gave of herself seeing to the needs of those in her community whether it was vegetables from her garden, food from her kitchen, or a consoling hand for those that were bereaved. Granny loved being around her family, especially her great grandchildren. She would spend hours running around the yard with them until she was just worn out. A woman of great faith, she was a member of the Carolina Baptist Church.
