Lois Paulette Plunkett Nix, 74, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. Paulette was born on October 7, 1943 in Nettleton to Thomas Ellis and Martha Hendon Plunkett. Prior to her retirement, she was a homemaker and had previously worked in the garment industry. Paulette was very outgoing and loved to send and receive greeting cards for all occasions. She enjoyed watching TV especially anything that starred Tommy Lee Jones. With a heart full of love, Paulette was always concerned with the wellbeing of her family asking about her sisters and her brothers; and when you visited, you never left empty handed. She will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Moffett officiating. Burial will follow in the Gray Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Mark Gray (Lisa) of Onsted, MI; two brothers, Tom Plunkett, Jr. (Phyllis) of Florida and Robert “Mike” Plunkett (Rita) of Amory; three sisters, Mildred Cox of Rockford, IL, Laverne Presley of Fulton, and Eddielene Parker of Nettleton; 9 grandchildren, Mark Jacob Gray, Nathaniel Chance Gray, Briana Dawn Gray, Clark Gray (Chelsea), Patience White (Jimmy), Angel Gray, Justin Plunkett, Jeremy Plunkett, and Jake Plunkett; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Faye Boyd; and 2 sons, Jason Plunkett and Clark Gray.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be on Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
