Paul Ozbirn, 62, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 while enjoying his favorite pastime, camping at Cane Creek. He was born on July 2, 1956 in the Freedom Hills outside of Red Bay to Willis Reese and Maxine Tucker Ozbirn. He graduated Itawamba Agricultural High school and worked several jobs later retiring Mueller Brass in Fulton as a machine operator. Very outgoing and never meeting a stranger, he also enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren. An outdoorsman, Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping much of the time with his family. He was also very talented with his hands he enjoyed working and leather crafts. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Peaceful Valley.
Funeral services for Paul will be on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 12 noon at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Joey Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in Wiygul Cemetery. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Zeb Ozbirn (Kimberly) of Mooreville; one daughter, Kortney Ewing (Michael) of Mantachie; three brothers, Danny Ozbirn of Fairview, Michael Ozbirn of Fulton, and Doug Ozbirn of Fulton; grandchildren, Amzie Ewing, Nathan Ewing, Collin Ozbirn, Brody Ozbirn, and Dalton Ozbirn; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Ozbirn, Marcus Ozbirn, Christ Ozbirn, Eric Ozbirn, Jeb Smith, and Mac Harbor.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Friday.
