Norene Fears Culpepper, 93, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. She was born on June 28, 1928 in the Parham Community to Bailey Bryant and Ardie Glo Francis Fears. She graduated Hatley High School and she was the widow of Bill Culpepper. Prior to her retirement, she worked many years in the garment industry as a supervisor. Norene loved to travel and was always up for a car ride. She thoroughly enjoyed camping and photography. She was a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ where she had been very active in the Lady Bugs.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in with Minister David Highland officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Steve Culpepper of Hatley; grandchildren, Amy Powell (Patrick) of Hatley and Michael Culpepper of Guin, AL; grandchildren, Mikayla, Grace, McKenna, Ben, and Malachi; several other grandchildren and great grandchildren; and special friend, Barbara Markham.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Culpepper; son, Michael Wayne Culpepper; brother, Boley Fears; and sister, Earline Holloway.
Pallbearers will be Charlie James, Monty McCormick, Phillip Drake, Wayne Roebuck, Randy Gray, and Joey Fears. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Drake, Frank Drake, and Larry Spann; the Lady Bugs; and Elders and Deacons of New Hope and Christian Chapel Churches of Christ.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from noon until service time at the funeral home.
