James Nathan Mayhall, 20 passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020 surrounded by his family at his residence. He was born in Amory on December 11, 1999. As a young child, Nathan was diagnosed by Muscular Dystrophy, but his determination in life served as an inspiration to all who knew him. Easy to please, Nathan enjoyed playing games on his tablet with friends, eating a nice meal or snack, watching movies and WWE Wrestling, taking random pictures with his camera, singing with his nurses, getting little suprises and gifts and listening to the radio. He also loved the outdoors and nature, he especially enjoyed it when his nurses would push him down to the creek to see the wildlife and he loved to watc the birds at the feeder outside his window. Nathan was really great at watching others work, often telling them how the job should be done. Despite his struggles in life, he would have graduated this year with a high school diploma. He was deeply spoiled by all who loved him.
He is survived by his parents, J.C. and Evelyn Thompson, Athens; aunts and uncles, Ricky Smith (Melissa), Athens, Ricky Brasfield (Susan), Chad Thompson, Becker; special friends and home health nurses, Tangy, Miranda, Laura, Chasity, Julie and Aunt Ruth Miller.
