Mary Jane Purdee West, 59 passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at her home. She was born on April 7, 1962 in McRae, GA to James Leon, Sr. and Shirley Jean Ricks Purdee. She was the consummate homemaker who enjoyed cooking, taking care of her family, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies included flower gardening and fishing.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home Chapel with Calvin Steele speaking. Burial will follow at Camp Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Plunkett of Aberdeen; one son, Albert Turner, Jr. (Joan) of Youngstown, FL; two daughters, Jamie Lynn Jackson (Daniel) of Saltillo and Marley Sudduth (Carson) of Amory; two brothers, Jeff Purdee of Aberdeen and Joey Purdee of Hamilton, AL; two sisters, Robin Steele and Tammy Plunkett; 10 grandchildren, J.T., Jonathan, Lexi, Christopher, Jayden, Alexis, Alissa, D.J., Tyler, and Tonya; and her aunt, Venita Bork (Jim) of Mt. Vernon, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, James Leon Purdee, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Joey Purdee, Albert Turner, Jr., Jeffery Purdee, J.T. Milstead, III, Daniel Jackson, and Carson Sudduth.
Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
