Martha Nash, 90, died on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Oaktree Manor in Amory. Born October 17, 1926 in Amory she was a daughter of James Clayton and Marguerite Dryden Walden. A lifelong resident of the Hatley area, she was also the widow of Roy L. Nash. Prior to her retirement, she worked for Amory Garment Company. Her hobbies included working word puzzles, talking with her friends on the phone, sitting on her porch swing, and the friends she made while at Oak Tree. She was a member of the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Hatley.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Tim Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the Hatley Cemetery.
Survivors include 3 sisters, Ellen Hester (Dudley) of Amory; Ann Richardson (Arnold) of Becker; Louise Adams (Junior) of Ethelsville, AL; and sister-in-law, Joy Bell Walden of Wren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Roy L. Nash; three brothers, Pete, Lawrence, and Herbert Walden; and two sisters, Evelyn Walden and Helen Sims.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
