Mark Jefferson Morrow, 51, of Smithville, Mississippi, passed from this life on March 11th, 2024. He was born in Amory, Mississippi on December 19th, 1972 to Bill and Becky Morrow. He and his sister, Leigh, grew up in a home that Bill built and lovingly called “his masterpiece” on their family farm in Turon. Mark attended Smithville High School where he made many lifelong friends, including Steven Hathcock. He later attended Itawamba Community College where he studied robotics. Mark met and later married the love of his life, Heather Smith, of Smithville. After they married, they built a home on land handed down from Bill and Becky, and then began to build a family. They had two children, Matt and Halle Morrow. Mark enjoyed passing his love for the outdoors to his son Matt including many dove hunting trips and duck hunting trips to the Delta. Although his daughter Halle did not share their affinity for the outdoors, he and Halle shared many memories as well. He and Halle shared their love of music and spent many hours around the computer listening to music. They will forever share their “Crack Pack”. Although Mark loved his children, he excelled in the role of “Pop”. He loved his four grandchildren dearly: Harper, Lydia, and Fletcher Morrow, and Molly Cox. He and Heather enjoyed many hours riding the side by side. Mark was passionate about his family and friends. He loved spending evenings on the front porch of Steve Sargent’s house. He could often be seen on his boat with two poles filling his live well with fish. Mark had one of the most generous souls. He never met a stranger, and he enjoyed showing his love for others through cooking large meals and giving to anyone in need. Mark will be remembered for his generous and outgoing spirit.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Cross Bound Church in Smithville on Thursday, March 14 from 4 PM until 7 PM.
