Lois Thompson, 85, died on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born June 26, 1930, in Monroe County, she was a daughter of Homer Willard and Betty Etoil Harlow Williams. She married Raymond Burleson Thompson and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness and volunteered as a bible teacher in church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her hobbies included baking and sewing.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Mr. Russ Hodges officiating. Following the service, a meal will be prepared at the Hatley Community Center at 5 p.m. for any who would like to come by and visit with the family.
Survivors include 4 sons, Dennis Wade Thompson of Amory, Jerry Lynn Thompson of Tupelo, Thomas Raymond Thompson of Tupelo, and James Dean Thompson (Brooke) of Oregon; daughter, Lori Anne Thompson Hodges (Jim) of Amory; one brother, Robert Williams of Wren; one sister, Patsy Wiley (Jackie) of Smithville; 6 grandchildren, Cindy Thompson, Jackie Thompson Taylor, Taylor Thompson, Heather Hodges Russell, Emily Hodges Burnett, Elijah James Thompson; and 3 great grandchildren, Caiden Collins, Salem Thompson, and Jack Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Richard “Dick” Williams and Wallace Williams; and two sisters, Eupel May “Pete” Danner and Bobbie Nell Payne.
