Linda Morris

Linda Darnell Morris, 64, passed away on Monday January 22, 2024 in Monroe County.  She was born on May 3, 1959 in Amory to Alvis Arney and Etta Mae Young Frederick.  She married Reggy Morris on August 30, 1985 and she loved to spend time with her family and friends.  She loved to color on her phone, watch TV, and ride motorcycles.  She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church where she loved to worship and witness to others about God.  For 22 years, she worked for the United Furniture lumber years then retired.  She began working at the Amory Huddle House, a job she loved, and where she was loved by many and will be truly missed.  

A family memorial service will be announced at a later date.

In addition to her husband, Reggy Morris, she is survived by 5 sons, Jonathan Morris (Salina) of Hatley, Michael Morris of Amory, Anthony Morris of Amory, Billy Morris (Laura) of Amory, and Kevin Morris of Amory; two sisters, Sue Buse (Robert) of Mooreville and Becky Frederick of Mooreville; 16 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Johnny Frederick; father-in-law, Columbus Morris and mother-in-law, Kat Morris.
