Larry Randle Tidwell

Larry Randle Tidwell, 76, passed away on December 26, 2024 at River Place Nursing Facility in Amory.  He was born in Amory on November 4, 1948 to the late Lebrun Earnest Tidwell and Dorothy Black Tidwell.  As a child, Larry attended Greenwood Springs School.  Larry enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.  He loved to be around his family, especially anytime fireworks were involved.  Everyone would have to keep an eye on Larry because his favorite prank to pull was setting fireworks off in the tailpipes of automobiles.  He also enjoyed model cars, puzzles and was a collector of all kinds of jewelry.  He enjoyed listening to the oldies and country music.  If Larry's TV was on, you could bet it would be playing a western, sci-fi or scary movie.  In his early years, he liked to watch wrestling and often fussed about the outcome.  

Larry is survived by his brothers, Bobby Tidwell (Diane), Amory and Roger Tidwell (Debbie), Amory; sisters, Sue Beard (Thomas), Wren, Debra Gosa (Wade), Belmont and Delores Turner, Plantersville; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Mohler (Richard); brother, Earnest Tidwell (Geraldine); grandparents, Earl and Irene Black, George and Ella Tidwell.

A private family service will be held.

Larry's family would also like to extend their most sincere thanks to the staff of River Place Nursing Facility for the great care Larry received while there.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to a charity of choice.
