Kimberly Ball

Kimberly Dawn “Mimi” Ball, 48, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center—Gilmore in Amory.  She was born in Amory on May 16, 1974 to Darris and Deborah Tartt Ball.  She graduated Amory High School in 1992 where she was a recipient of the Golden Panther Award and she later earned her associate degree in computer science from Itawamba Community College, graduating with honors and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  As a life-long learner, she had a desire to continue her education and she attended The W and Mississippi State University.  While at the W, she worked at the radio station, and she enjoyed playing and listening to alternative rock music.  She enjoyed playing video games, computer programming, and spending time with her family.  She particularly loved the beach and taking spring break trips to Disney World.  To say she loved cats would be an understatement, but she did and she loved her own cat, Bella.  She was a member of Bigbee Baptist Church and she absolutely adored her nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services were on on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Bro. Justin Haynes officiating.  Burial was in the Haughton Memorial Park.

In addition to her parents Darris and Deborah Ball, she is survived by one brother, Shawn Ball (Amanda) of Amory, one sister, Chastity Ball Outlaw (Joel) of Amory; nephews, Jordan Outlaw, Tyler Ball, Brody Outlaw, Jaxton Ball, Wilder Ball, Colton Ball, and Brantley Cook; a niece, Brittany Ball; special cousins, Brad Ponder, Wendy Todd, and Courtney Owings.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charlie and Marvelle Tartt, and Cecil and Lena Faye Ball.
