Karen Renee McAfee Gilmore, 55, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born on May 31, 1964, she was a daughter to Halbert and Betty Dixon McAfee. Karen married William Gilmore and prior to her becoming disabled she worked in the area garment industry. Her hobbies include watching cooking programs on television, traveling until her health failed, and going out to eat. She was a member of Meadowood Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Lloyd Sweatt officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope (Coontail) Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, William Gilmore of Aberdeen; aunt, Kay Calhoun (Bobby) of Amory; and mother-in-law, Emma Gilmore of Aberdeen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her unborn twins, William Brandon and Katie Marie Gilmore.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m.
