Becker- Joan Kay Trimm Reeves, 66, died Friday, February 26, 2016 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born November 28, 1949 in Wilson, Arkansas, she was a daughter of Eugene Victor and Amanda Jane Sullivan Trimm. She married William Stanley Reeves. Moving to Monroe County in her early years; she attended Becker School where she played on the basketball team. During the construction of the Tenn-Tom Waterway, Joan was the first female to drive a dump truck and operate equipment on the Lock B pool and in Iuka. Joan fulfilled her time in life by doing for others. Her enjoyment of giving to others made her the happiest especially for her children and young people. There was never a time when she was too busy to lend a hand or a favor to anyone in need. Her disposition and outgoing personality made her well known in the community and he places she serviced as part of her job. Her family meant the most to her. Her love and devotion to all made her the centerpiece for the family gatherings as she wanted all to be there. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Bethel Apostolic Church in Amory with Bro. Coy Hill and Bro. Stanley Blaylock officiating. Burial will be in the Greenbrier Cemetery. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her husband William Stanley Reeves of Becker; one son, Mike Reeves (Tiffany) of Becker; two daughters, Debbie Knight of Becker and Tiffany Crawley (Brad) of Nettleton; 3 sisters, Mary Bennett (Randell) of Amory; Barbara Mathis (Jerry) of Cordova, TN, and Beatrice Palazzola of Florissant, MO; 6 grandchildren, Chris Pickle, Jamie Knight, Will Reeves, Anna Catherine Reeves, Roxanne Snider, and Mary Claire Trautman; 7 great grandchildren, Cole Kent, Rhett Pickle, Bailey Lawrence, Drew Cullins, Chance Bailey, C.J., Faith, and Brody Snider; special friends, Juanita Sandlin, Kevin Trautman, Liz Tate; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Jimmy Trimm, Joe Trimm, Junior Trimm, and Richard Trimm; 2 sisters, Betty Stegall and Ann Lois Edwards; and a granddaughter, April Bailey. Pallbearers will be Darrell Bennett, Keith Parham, Dennis Knight, Spencer Brock, Bo Barrett, and Bo Knight. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Pickle, Jamie Knight, Will Reeves, Rocky Foster, Andy Harmon, and Bill Bailey. Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral and she will lie in state from 1 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church.
