Jesse Lloyd Hurley, 77, died on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the Merit Health Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory. Born January 21, 1940 in Monroe County, he was a son of John and Mattie Bell Hurley. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Quartet in Booneville and was a sheet metal worker in Memphis. His hobbies included woodwork and being outdoors. He was married to Patsy Ford and he was a member of the New Hope Church of Christ.
Memorial services for Mr. Hurley will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the New Hope Church of Christ with Minister David Highland officiating. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Hurley of Hatley; two sons, Charles L. Hurley (Kathy) of Memphis and Jason Hurley of Hatley; one daughter, Tammie Evans of Booneville; 4 brothers, Johnny Hurley of Alabama, Dwight Hurley of Hatley, Jimmy Hurley of Amory, and Randy Hurley of Amory; 3 sisters, Bernice Jackson (Jeff) of Saltillo, Nell Hurley of Hatley, and Denise Hurley of Amory; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Visitation will follow the memorial service at the church.
