Jennifer Blasingame Lowrey, 48, passed from this life on Friday, March 15, 2024 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born in Amory on January 27, 1976, she was a daughter to Barry and Mary Ann Riddle Blasingame. Jennifer was a 1994 graduate of Amory High School. At age 25, she was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis which to some would be a debilitating illness, but she met all these challenges with great confidence and hope. At 35, she received her first double lung transplant and bravely fought through years of organ rejection and received her second double transplant at age 45. Jennifer was the personification of resiliency; a quality she instilled in her daughter and best friend with whom she shared a special bond, Jilanna. Jennifer was a devoted and supportive wife to Will and an avid supporter of TCPS Baseball for which the baseball field is named in honor of the Lowrey Family. Living under the banner of I Corinthians 13, she knew each day was a gift and she cherished each moment that was spent with her family. She was a passionate advocate of organ donation, and she grew up in the Amory Church of Christ.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the Amory Church of Christ with Steve Tybor and Minister Jonathan Godsey officiating. Eulogies will be delivered by Jill Plunkett and Jilanna Lowrey. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
