Jeffery Ware

September 12, 1973 — January 2, 2018

Jeffery Scott Ware, 44, died on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his home. Jeffery was born on September 12, 1973 in Aberdeen to Clovis Ware and Judy Young Ware. He was a 1991 graduate of Smithville High School where he excelled in football and basketball. Prior to his becoming disabled, he worked for 22 years for Hunter Douglas as a materials handler. For nine years, he was a MHSAA basketball official. Jeffery was passionate about coaching and he had the keen ability to grow young people through athletics into the men and women they could become all the while emphasizing their academic ability. His family and his children were his life and he was known as a positive, kind, forgiving individual and lived by the motto to love all people and let God judge. He fought a hard battle against a disease that should’ve taken his life 4 years ago; but never giving up, he defied all odds. Jeffery was a member of the New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church but had been attending First Free Will Baptist Church in Smithville. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Dr. Steve McKinney, Bro. Chris Moody, Bro. Danny Burks, Bro. Kevin Crook, Bro.
