James Dale “Jim” Galloway, 63, passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 12, 2022. He was born on October 14, 1959 in St. Louis to the late Jimmy and Linda Jones Galloway. James grew up in Flat River, MO and was a graduate of Central High School. He served in the United States Navy, sailing on the USS Saginaw. While on the Saginaw, he was deployed to Beirut. He married the late Pamela Crump Galloway and together they raised 2 daughters, Melinda and Amanda. James retired from True Temper Sports in Amory after nearly 25 years of service.
After Pamela’s passing in 2018, he was wed to Billie Sue Hillhouse Galloway on December 7, 2020. James was proud to be a part of her family’s lives. Anyone that knew James, knew that he was a devoted family man to say the least. Above all, James was truly a man of God. He made it his life’s mission to tell others about how good God was and how we could all have salvation through a relationship with Him by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. He was a faithful member of Church of God in Aberdeen.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Sue Galloway of Amory; daughters, Melinda Galloway, Amory and Amanda Long (Jamie), Okolona; step children, Reno Garcia (Jenny), Fairview, Nicole Howell (Jerry), Tupelo, Heather Stark (Ross), Amory; sister, Darla Vance (Earl); brothers, Dennis Galloway (Joyce), Amory and Doug Galloway, Leadington, MO; grandchildren, Nicole House (Tyler), Joshua and Avery Long, Emily Robinson, Lynzi Stuart, Dalton Garcia, Lance McLaughlin, Drake Garcia, TrishAnna Lindsey, Anna Howell, Thomas and Daniel Stark; great grandchild, Andi Kate House.
James is preceded in death by his parents Jimmy and Linda Galloway; wife, Pamela Crump Galloway.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Chuck Moffett and Bro. Earl Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Boone’s Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Long, Austin Galloway, Dalton Garcia, Lance McLaughlin, Drake Garcia and Reno Garcia.
Visitation will be prior to the service on Monday from noon until 1:45 PM.
