Jake Plunkett

Jake Allen Plunkett, 30, passed away on December 11, 2022 at his residence in Biloxi.  Jake was born in Columbus, MS on March 22, 1992 to Donald Jason Plunkett and Bridgette Newton Plunkett Boatner.  Jake attended Akron High School in Akron, AL.  He had a passion and love for the arts, writing music, drawing and playing chess.  He also enjoyed being outdoors target practicing, riding 4 wheelers and fishing.  Jake loved being with his family and had a great sense of humor and was always able to make his family laugh.  He also enjoyed cooking and was a cook in several restaurants.

Jake is survived by his mother and father, Bridgette and Jeremy Boatner; wife, Amber Stokes; sons, Luca Jaxon Plunkett and Braden Smith; daughter Makenzi Smith; brothers, Justin Plunkett (Brianna) and Jeremey Plunkett (Mandy); nieces and nephews, Isabell, Ethan, Shane, Kendley, Benjamin, Liam, Malaki, Aurora and Tatum; mother and father in law, Sherry and James Lee; grandparents, James Boatner, Ricky and Elaine Wallace; aunts and uncles, Mark and Lisa Gray, Timothy Jones, Tony Newton, Cheryl Newton, Teresa Newton Fraher, Tina Douglas; cousin, Patience Gray; special friends, Ms. Diana Boone Barbara, Mr. Hollis, and Darrell Davis.

Jake is preceded in death by his father, Donald Jason Plunkett; grandparents, Paulette Plunkett Nix, Ray and Evelyn Newton; uncle, Clark Gray and cousin, Gabe Gray.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory.  Burial will follow in Grays Cemetery.
