Hazel Dorce Thompson Millican, 92, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at her home. She was born on January 1, 1930 in Greenwood Springs to Hosie and Ellie Woodruff Thompson. She worked at Amory Garment for 30 years or more. She was still active out mowing her yard with a zero-turn mower at age 89 and kept the ditch banks clean picking up limbs and such. She was a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church. Hazel was married to Coy Nash and Billy Joe Millican both of whom preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bobby Cleveland officiating. Burial will follow in the Haughton Memorial Park.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois Jean West (Doug) of Hatley; two brothers, Dennis Thompson (Betty) and David Thompson; sister, Sally Thompson Camp; 2 grandchildren, Angela West Burdine and Kevin West (Telisha); great grandchildren, Paige Edwards Ashley (Mark), Ally Edwards Jackson (Mitch), Logan, Hayden, Haley, Paytn, Drake, and Laiyla West; great great grandchildren, Sawyer Ashley and Sydney Brooke Ashley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant daughter.
Pallbearers will be Loyd and Boyd Pearson, Jay Fooshee, Timmy Camp, Mark Ashley, and Mitchell Vaughan.
Visitation will be from noon until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
