Dorothy Jernigan

Dorothy A. Jernigan, 77, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Riverplace Nursing Home in Amory. She was born on March 21, 1947 in Amory to Red Turner and Reba Sullivan Turner. She worked for Stanley Manufacturing Company from where she retired. She enjoyed playing bingo and being outdoors working with her flowers. She was a dog breeder and enjoyed shopping. She was a member of Pearce Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. John Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pearce Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Brian Jernigan (Jeannie) of Lackey and Tommy Jernigan (Amanda) of Smithville; grandchildren, Ty Jernigan, Kaylee Jernigan Stidham (Mason), Rylee Jernigan, Chance Jernigan, Tanner Jernigan, Jessica Timbrook (Brodie), and Justin Jernigan (Kara); great grandchildren, Lillee Timbrook, Tru Timbrook, and Lexi Jernigan; and daughter-in-law, Jeana Jernigan. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gerald Jernigan; and great grandchild, Konner Jernigan.

Pallbearers will be Ty Jernigan, Tanner Jernigan, Chance Jernigan, Mason Stidham, and Justin Jernigan.

Visitation will be from 10 until the service hour on Monday.

Memorials may be made to the Pearce Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
