Dennis Thompson

Dennis Thompson, 69, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at his home in Hatley.  Born on May 6, 1954 in Waukegan, IL, he was a son to Ruble Lee and Mary Pearl Handley Thompson.  Dennis grew up in the Amory area and married Suzie Cates on November 19, 1971.  Prior to retirement, he worked for Tecumseh Compressor Co. from 1988 to 2020 where for 20 years he was supervisor of the international shipping department and 12 years in quality control.  

A service of remembrance will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Haughton Memorial Park.

In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by a brother, Donald Thompson (Tracy) of Amory; special niece, Darlene Goodin (Jeremy) of Amory; and a host of extended loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jerry Thompson and Jimmy Thompson.  

Visitation will be from noon until service time at the funeral home.
