Charles David Sancillo, 67, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at his residence. Born on November 28, 1951 in Tupelo, he was a son to Manuel and Eva Mae Sullivan Sancillo. David grew up in Nettleton and was a 1969 graduate of Nettleton High School. He worked as a project manager many years for JBHM, later with Hooker Construction, and served in the National Guard for 7 years. David was a life-long republican and helped manage and win many campaigns. He enjoyed all things pertaining to politics and his highlight was sitting behind President Trump on Monday; although, his greatest accomplishment in life was found through his son, Josh, whom he was a proud supporter. David had a deep faith in God, remaining devotedly faithful to the traditional Apostolic Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services honoring David Sancillo’s life will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Cleveland –Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Tony Sancillo and Rev. Dan Finney officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.
Survivors include his son, Josh Sancillo of Nettleton; one brother, Tony Sancillo of Saltillo, one sister, Patsy Tucker; aunt, Charlene Conn; and a host of cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Charlie and Bessie Sullivan; and brother, Timothy Paul Sancillo.
Pallbearers will be members of the Monroe County Republican Club.
Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
