Daniel J. Gregory

Daniel J. Gregory, 49, passed away at his home in Smithville on Monday, February 27, 2023.  He was born in Grenada, MS on January 9, 1974.  When Daniel was born, his mother was told that he would never live past the age of 13.  With the hand of God and a mothers love, Daniel lived a full and complete life.  He graduated from Itawamba Agriculture High School in 1995.  While in school, he looked forward to the daily bus rides.  Daniel was always smiling, especially at pretty girls and was always happy, even if he were having a bad day.  Even on the worst days, Daniel never complained.  He enjoyed being outdoors and was his mother's yard buddy as she tended to her yard and he was a devoted patron of McDolald's.  He absolutely loved people and especially loved spending time with his family.  Daniel was a true fighter and gift from God.  He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Ann Robison Knight, Smithville; sister, Greta Gregory, Huntsville; nephew, Kyle Watts, Guntown; niece, Madison Watts, Albertville, AL; a host of cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, David Knight; grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Robison; uncles, Charles and Thomas Robison; aunts, Dimple Swindell, Elsie Duncan, Melba Robison and Mary Francis Bowen.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Harvey Coplin officiating.  Burial will follow in Turon Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Kyle Watts, Matthew Dennis, Clinton Jordan, Clay Anthony, Dayton Hipps and Greg Watts.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bellamy Swanger, Barrett Swanger, Easton Watts and Baylor Jordan.

Visitation will be prior to the service on Friday from 11 AM until 12:45 PM.
