Cynthia Edington

Cynthia Elsey Edington, 61, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at her home.  She was born on August 17, 1962 in Stillwell, OK to Joe Lynn and Cordy Ann Fowler Elsey.  She married Larry Edington on June 10, 1978 and she worked as a store clerk for many years.  She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and she was an avid conversationalist.  

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Boone’s Chapel Methodist Church near Okolona with Bro. Chuck Moffett officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In addition to her husband, Larry Edington; she is survived by one son, Larry Joe Edington (Jessica) of Houlka; brother, Joey Lynn Elsey (Angie) of Muskogee, OK; sister, Glenda Frasier (Vance) of Oktaha, OK; grandchildren, Chianne Johns (Joseph), Hunner Edington (Isabella), and Zachery Edington; one great grandchild, Lennakate Johns; and a host of nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two infant children.

Pallbearers will be Hunner Edington, Zachery Edington, Markus Edington, Red Guthery, Dakota Edington, and Joseph Johns.  Honorary pallbearer will be Evan Hall.

Visitation will be from noon until service time on Saturday at the church.
