Clemos West

Clemos Andrew West, 72, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Tupelo. Born on February 3, 1947 in Monroe County, he was a son to Albert A. and Luvada Strickland West. He married Laura Faye Sheilds in 1966 and prior to his retirement, he worked for many years for Amory Garment Company. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and coon hunting. He loved to spend time with his family and he had attended East Amory Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Survivors include 3 daughters, Angela Purser of Hackelburg, AL, Shelia Faye West of Hamilton, and Kereon Ann West of Hackelburg, AL; two brothers, Timothy Wayne West of Mt. Vernon, GA and Lester Quitman West of Amory; one sister, Flora L. Bruff Roebuck; grandchildren, Lee Ann Hollie, Andrew Abbott, Sabrina Abbott Letteri, Jamie Wayne Leach, Bobby E. Leach, Haven, Tara, Samantha, and Chancy Parham; great grandchildren, Zanitha Sanchez, Anniston Savage, Akillees Abbott, Dalton and Kaden Mitchell, Brecklynn Bedford, Wesley Leach, Cooper Leach, Alexis Ritter Abbott, Isaiah Purser, and Keirra Parrish; niece and caregiver, Patricia Bruff Bean; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; and grandson, Cody Leach. Pallbearers will be Karl Parham, Wayne Leach, David Vernon, Larry Mitchell, Andrew Abbott, and Thomas Kimbrough. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
