Arie Clayton Easter, 73, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Clayton was born in Monroe County on March 15, 1949 to Charlie Wilson and Annie Kate Thompson Easter. He attended Greenwood Springs and Becker School and married Frances Dunn on August 11, 1969. Leaving Monroe County in the 1960’s, he moved to Michigan where he was a long-time farmer eventually moving back to Monroe County in 1994. Clayton never met a stranger and was a friend to many. If you had a need, he’d meet it even if it was the last dollar he had. Described as a good soul, he loved to ride the roads visiting with his family and friends and particularly enjoyed family get-togethers. He was a known for a good joke, he enjoyed fishing, and loved his little Chihuahua, Killer, who he like to buy Happy Meals for.
