Charles Morgan Oliver, 65, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at his home. He was born on February 18, 1954 in Aberdeen to Jesse Winford and Gracie Nadell McDuffie Oliver. He attended Hamilton High School and in his early years, Charles worked in the oil fields and as a roofer. Most recently, he had worked at TAGS Restaurant. Charles was a member of the Church of God and he enjoyed camping, fishing, and he enjoyed playing the guitar.
Funeral services for Charles will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Pastor Shane Ray officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Sue Oliver of Hamilton; 3 daughters, Lessie Kay Oliver of Amory, Patricia Susanne Oliver of Baldwyn, and Elizabeth Sue Parish (Daniel) of Hamilton; two sons, Charles Eric Oliver (Tina) of Amory and Joe Franklin Oliver of Hamilton; 3 sisters, Sue Oliver Walker (Jimmy), Cathy Oliver Pounders (Joel) and Jennie Oliver Murphy (Joey); 13 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Winford Oliver and Roger Oliver; 3 sisters, Judy Lane Stanford, Windle Nell Oliver, and Helen Denise Oliver; and 2 sons, Larry Wayne and Christopher Eugene Oliver.
Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
