Bobby West

Bobby Ray West, 75, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Batesville-Panola Medical Center in Batesville.  He was born on August 12, 1948, in Monroe County to Alvis and Icelee Vick West.  He worked as a welder and hauled pulp wood most all his life.  He was simple country boy who loved hunting, fishing, and playing guitar.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Icelee West of Amory; one son, Bryan West of MI; 3 sisters, Lois Herron of Amory, Rita Stanford Monaghan of Mooreville, and Margaret Hacker of Amory; and his long-time friend, Ruby Morris.  

He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, Eugene West.

Pallbearers will be Sean Hefferan, Ray Morris, Richard Reed, Dean Mann, and Eugene West.  

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
