Bobby L. Motes

Bobby Lloyd Motes, 56, died on Friday, March 16, 2018 at the St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Born on March 21, 1961 in Aberdeen, he was a son to Lloyd Motes and Margaret Marie Holcomb Wilson. Bobby attended Hamilton School and from the age of 15 he was a truck driver later retiring OTR from Southern Logistics due to his health. Bobby loved his family and enjoyed fishing and spoiling his grandchildren. He attended North Mississippi Worship Center. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Monday evening, March 19, 2018 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Dudley Nash officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time on Monday evening at the funeral home. Survivors include his father, Lloyd Motes (Wanda) of Hamilton; his mother, Marie Wilson of Marion, IL; his wife, Carolyn Motes of Amory; two sons, Nathan Steele (Heather) of Amory and John Michael Motes (Victoria) of Amory; one daughter, Heather Motes of Amory; one brother, Benny Motes (Gladys) of Hamilton; two sisters, Melissa Rubright of Marion, IL and Sandra Kay Motes of Pontotoc; 7 grandchildren, Alyssa, Carmen, Hailey, Reagan Steel; Braiden and Alaina Motes; and Derrick Motes; and a host of aunts and uncles.
