Betty Mills

Betty Sue Owens Mills, 57, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at her residence in Aberdeen. She was born in Monroe County on October 15, 1964 to the late Boyd and Artvie Owens. She attended Aberdeen School, married James Mills and worked in the area furniture industry. She enjoyed raising her family, boating and fishing, and her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her sons, Matt Mills, Amory, Jamie Mills (Courtney), Greenwood Springs and Josh Mills; step son, Joey Mills (Lori), Hatley; sisters, Pat Jones (Mark) and Shirley Owens, all of the Athens Community; grandchildren, Madison Mills, James Parker Mills, Easton Flannery, Aliyah Lynn Mills, Abbigail Mills, Austyn Mills, Ella Kate Mills, Colby Mills and Chloe Mills; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Geneva Dodds and Janet Owens; brother, Tony Owens.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Robert Fowlkes officiating. Burial will follow in Blaylock Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joey Mills, Anthony Reese, Jason Brown, James Imel, Jacob Smith and Cordell Gann.

Visitation will be on Thursday prior to the service from noon until 12:45 PM.
