Betty Ann Burks

Betty Ann Moffett Burks, 74, peacefully slipped into eternity on Friday, April23, 2021 at Oak Tree Manor in Amory. She was born on January 31, 1947 in Monroe County to the late Charlie and Willie Lee Turner Moffett. She was married to the late Edward Burks. Betty Ann experienced polio at an early age, but it definitely never slowed her down. She would often tell of her many fond memories growing up in Becker Bottom with her love for animals, especially riding horses, helping her mother in the house and farming with her dad and 2 brothers. Betty Ann enjoyed the beauty of life and family. Her home was always open to any of her family and she was also the entertainer of the family with her great sense of humor and outstanding ability to tell stories and Becker Bottom folklore. More than anything she enjoyed being a stay at home mom to her 2 sons. She is survived by her sons, Chris Burks (Tanya) and Erik Burks; grandchildren, Reed Goodson, Tara Burks, David Burks, Tanner Griggs, Kimberlyn Griggs...
