Barbara Sue Morris Cruse “Sparky”, 64, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center Gilmore in Amory. Born on January 9, 1955 in Columbus, she was a daughter to Claud and Dula Kennedy Morris. She grew up in Aberdeen and where she attended school. Prior to her becoming disabled, she worked in the nursing home as a CNA. A caring homemaker and a wonderful cook, she would often open up her home to many people and she enjoyed caring for her children especially her grand and great grandchildren. Selfless in every way, she truly lived her life for others. She loved to fish especially catfishing, watch wrestling, and she was an avid MSU football fan. She was Baptist in faith.
Services will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating. Burial will follow in the Hatley Cemetery.
Survivors include her ex-husband, John Cruse of Wren; two sons, David Harrington of Ackerman and Scott Harrington (Anna) of Amory; two daughters, Lanell Harrington of Nettleton and Brenda Harrington (Doug) of Amory; one sister, Samantha Hanna of Greenwood Springs; grandchildren, Tykeilla Smith Ruff (Bryce), Gealoucie Smeilley, Dulia Smeilley, Charla Beth Smeilly, Ken Funderburk, Austin Funderburk, J.R. Funderburk (Maggie), Makenzie Harrington, Jaxon Harrington, Emma Harrington, Kohen Harrington, Kandynce Myhre, Brady Levi, Michael Harrington, Buford Hawkins, Rusty Hawkins, Harley Hawkins, and KK McCoy; great grandchildren, Ahlani Ruff, Colby Harrington, Chuck Hawkins, Wynchestur Castle, Remmington Fooshee, Kameryn Jackson, Alexis Hughes; special friends, Ava Copeland, Bunch West, Lee Ann Barnes, Butch Brown, Lamont Johnson, Sylvester Lowe, Uncle Randy, and Chuck Chism.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles Morris, Doyle Morris, and Charles Ruffin; sisters, Velle Morris, Betty Ruffin, Brenda Morris, Linda Kaye Morris, Elizabeth Jones, Wilma Sue Morris; son, Chuck Smith; grandchildren, Latoya Ward, and Harlie Marie Smith Ruffin.
Pallbearers will be Scott Harrington, J.R. Funderburk, Ken Funderburk, Austin Funderburk, Quint Reeves, Gary Carr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathon Doss and Javarious McIntosh.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home.
