Ava Fay Brown Copelin, 67, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Diversicare in Amory. Born on February 8, 1952 in Aberdeen, she was a daughter to Erie and Lessie Vick Brown. She was married to Louis Terry Copelin, Jr. and prior to her retirement, she worked most of her career in the area furniture industry, most recently with Value Craft. Ava enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with friends and family especially visiting on the porch with a cup of coffee, and she loved to travel. She attended the Amory Church of God.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Ray officiating. Burial will be in the Greenbrier Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, John Humphries of Amory; daughter, Amanda Fay Humphries of Jasper, AL; two brothers, Jimmy Dale Brown (Gail) of Bigbee and Larry Gean Brown of Athens; two sisters, Janice Ann Livingston of Amory and Judy Ann Adams (Rickey) of Wren; and 6 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Coplin; son, James Oneal Humphries; infant son, David Humphries; 4 brothers, Reddise Brown, Roy Brown, Sonny Brown, and Doyle Brown; 3 sisters, Patricia Oliver, Brenda Peden, and Dorothy Parish; and best friend, Barbara Morris.
Pallbearers will be Tony Gray, Drake Thompson, Corey Livingston, Pattrick Livingston, Zackary Brown, Michael Gray, and Eric Oliver.
Visitation will be on Saturday evening from 5 until 8 p.m.
